BASIC WORD PROCESSING – WORD PAD
Taught by Glenn Ohanesian

Class ID # GO-07

To use a computer to write a letter is really a very simple matter. All one needs to do is to visualize the screen as a piece of paper to be written on. From there, it is a short jump to seeing the various buttons, menus, etc., as pens, pencils and other common writing instruments. Word Pad, the most basic word processor of all, except possibly for Note Pad, can be used to write letters with surprisingly professional looking results.

Word Pad is sufficiently simple that the beginner can feel comfortable with the learning process. Much of what is done is intuitive. The best part is that whatever is learned with Word Pad is immediately applicable to increasingly sophisticated word processors such as MS Works, MS Office Word, Lotus Word and Word Perfect.

Word Pad is the ideal vehicle for teaching.
