Taught by Glenn Ohanesian

Class ID # GO-06

As has been shown, in Part I, a database is particularly useful. I Part I, we used the database to prepare an address book. While a database is useful for that application, there are many more, different, applications possible. In this lecture we will includeapplications that are more personally business oriented. In doing so, we will cover the following topics.

1. Brief review of the database forms.

2. Discuss some considerations in initially setting up a database.

3. Create a database document using the direct entry method (as opposed to the Task Wizard approach.

4. Demonstrate the use of formulas, sorting, printing, using markers, Finding and Replacing, using filters and creating a works report.

On completing the lecture, the user should be able to create and work with a database that they have created from the beginning.
