MS Works 4.5
Database - Part I
Taught by Glenn Ohanesian

Class ID # GO-05

A database is a particularly useful tool enabling the user to manipulate and store data. Included are the abilities to use either provided, or created, formulas, labels and filters. The filters feature is an extremely useful and powerful feature not found in the spreadsheet (which was designed for other purposes). Our lecture will include most of the topics already mentioned including, of course, the ability to find our way around in the database form. An outline of selected topics follows.

1. Introduction to the database.

2. Discussing considerations in establishing the database.

3. Creating an address book using the task wizard.

4. Demonstrating sorting, printing, labels, markers, Finding and Replacing, using filters and creating a works report.

On completing this lecture, and demonstration, the user, never having worked with a database before, should be able to create, and use a database address book.
